Napatini Featured Wineries

  • Charles Krug Winery

Our current featured winery is Charles Krug Winery.

1861, Charles Krug, the visionary father of Napa Valley winemaking, established the winery that started it all. The Mondavi Family purchased this already iconic estate in 1943, and for over 75 years and four generations they have been passionately perfecting an enduring legacy for those generations still to come. Charles Krug Winery was featured for April 2024.

  • Grgich Hills Estate

    Featured Winery for May 2024.

This iconic winery offers exclusive and sought-after wines which focus on varietals close to Mike Grgich’s heart and renowned accomplishments as a world-class winemaker.

We featured Grgich Hills Estate wines as our very first featured winery!

  • Alexander Valley Vineyards

After purchasing the historic Cyrus Alexander homestead, Harry and Maggie Wetzel strived to create a thriving agricultural lifestyle on the property. They raised their children along with their vines in Alexander Valley, providing inspiration and encouragement as they developed the estate together. Decades later, the fourth generation of their family is growing up amongst vineyards and next door to the working winery that is known around the world as “AVV”. You could call it a family tradition.

AVV was our featured winery for November 2023, and we continue to carry their flagship CYRUS and Schoolhouse Reserve selections in our wine wall.

  • Cass Winery

This Paso Robles based winery offers award winning wines that perfectly embodies their mantra: “French DNA, Paso personality”. Napatini is excited to share in Cass’s pursuit of excellence with a laidback and welcoming approach. We carry their Rhone-style wines that are exceptional! Cass Winery was our featured winery for June 2023, and we were thrilled t have one of the owners, Ted Plemmons, pour at our Winery Wednesday event.

  • DAOU Winery

DAOU Mountain rises 2,200 feet in elevation in the hills of the Adelaida District on the west side of the Paso Robles AVA. With its steep mountain slopes of up to fifty-six percent, DAOU Mountain rises dramatically above the Coastal Range with breathtaking views from the highest winery on the Central Coast of California. The mountain is cooled by the Pacific Ocean, fourteen miles away, and gentle breezes that flow over the Templeton Gap. You’ll find their signature SOUL OF THE LION and PATRIMONY reds, as well as their Rosé wine in the warmer months. Daou Winery was our featured winery in March 2023.

  • Duckhorn Vineyards

Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent forty years establishing itself as one of North America’s premier producers of Napa Valley wines.

Renowned for their Merlot, we’ve carried it plus their Three Palms Single Vineyard Malbec (while supplies lasted!) and others from their portfolio. We featured Duckhorn for April 2023.

  • Far Niente Winery

Far Niente was founded in Oakville, California in 1885 by John Benson, a forty-niner of the California gold rush and uncle of the famous American impressionist painter, Winslow Homer. Benson hired architect Hamden McIntyre, and together they worked to create an exquisite oasis in western Oakville.

Far Niente prospered until the onset of Prohibition in 1919. Sixty years later, Gil Nickel bought and restored the winery and neighboring vineyard. This three-year-long labor of love put the label back on the map — and on the National Register of Historic Places. He preserved the Far Niente name — an Italian phrase which romantically translated means ‘without a care.’

Far Niente was our featured winery for February 2024, and we will continue to carry their portfolio family of wines throughout the year.

  • Ferrari-Carano Winery

Don and Rhonda Carano, natives of Reno, Nevada, and second generation Italian-Americans, founded Ferrari-Carano in 1981. Don and Rhonda were introduced to the beauty of Northern Sonoma County in 1979 while searching for wines to enhance the wine lists at the Eldorado, their hotel casino in Reno. They eventually purchased a 60-acre parcel in the Alexander Valley, and realizing the potential for the area, began to acquire additional vineyard land. Ground was broken for Ferrari-Carano Winery in Dry Creek Valley in 1985. The first wines bearing the Ferrari-Carano label were released in 1987. Those first wines were a 1986 Fumé Blanc and a 1985 Alexander Valley Chardonnay.

Ferrari-Carano was our featured winery for January 2024.

  • Frank Family Vineyards

The Frank Family Vineyards, located just south of Calistoga is one of many notable wineries in the area. Upon arrival, the recognizable stone winery building, first constructed in 1884, appears, fronting the small yellow craftsman house that hosts the tasting and food pairing experiences.

We carry their higher-end reds simply because they are great, and worth trying! Look for Frank Famiy to be a featured winery in 2024.

  • J Lohr Vineyards and Wines

The Lohr family’s relationship with Paso Robles started in the 1980s when Jerry Lohr identified the region’s potential for growing world-class Bordeaux varietals. Today, the family and team sustainably farm more than 2,600 acres of estate vineyards throughout five of Paso Robles’ sub-AVAs. And while we’re perhaps best known for our J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon and our J. Lohr Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon, our portfolio also includes many winery and member-exclusive small-lot gems that are only available here, or at the winery. J Lohr was our featured winery in September 2023 and we were thrilled that Steve Lohr personally represeoted the winery at the Chef’s Dinner.

  • Justin Vineyards & Winery

Justin planted their first vineyard back in 1981 with a mission to make world-class Bordeaux-style blends. Since then, they’ve expanded both our knowledge of viticulture in this unique region as well as their acreage. Rich in fossilized limestone from eons of marine deposits, JUSTIN’s soil is ideally suited to creating big, Bordeaux-style reds. The limestone “stresses” the vines, producing grapes that fully express their varietal character.

Justin was our featured winery for March 2024.

  • Robert Mondavi Winery

Robert Mondavi established his namesake winery in 1966 with a vision to create Napa Valley wines that would stand in the company of the world’s finest. He chose To Kalon Vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley as the home for Robert Mondavi Winery. This first-growth vineyard, located in Oakville, California, is renowned for producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world from his To Kalon Vineyard, as well as for its Sauvignon Blanc grapes, from which Mr. Mondavi crafted his signature wine, Fumé Blanc. Robert Mondavi was our featured winery for July 2023
