Tasting Notes: It is a wine that is distinguished by its aromatic complexity where notes of red fruits and floral aromas such as violets stand out, along with vanilla and tobacco cigar. In the mouth, the presence of black fruits such as blackberry continues along with spicy notes. Its medium structure and silky tannins are in balance with an
exquisite natural acidity that helps a long finish.

Winemaker Notes: 2020 Malbec Reserve Especial grapes were grown and harvested from our 50 acre vineyard in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. The 2019-2020 growing season was ideal for grape cluster development with characteristic warm sunny days and cold evenings found in Mendoza. The grape harvest was from the oldest vines in the vineyard, a parral trellis (canopy) planted in the 1980s, that yielded very high quality skins, pulp and seeds hand selected for our reserve wines. Malbec Reserve Especial was elaborated and aged in concrete vats for 6 months then racked to second using French oak barrels aged an additional 12 months. Bottled in December 2022, the wine is ready to drink now or can be cellared for several years.
